Welcome to The New
South Wales Fire Brigades Band and Precision Drill Marching Team homepage.
The Band and Marching Team is based in Sydney, Australia. Mark Reay has been
the Musical Director for the past 26 years and continues to ensure the standard
of music and entertainment remains at a very high level.
The members are part-time
volunteers who see the function of the group as an integral part of the
Brigades mission to provide public education on fire prevention and safety
awareness to the community and to promote the Brigades as a world class
organization.
The members raise their own funds through sponsorship to promote
international tours. In September 2002, the band and the precision drill
marching team were invited to China for the 30th Anniversary of Diplomatic
Relations between our two countries. In 2008, the group attended the Blasmusikfestival in Bruck-an-der-Mur
in Austria.
The Band and Marching Team are looking forward to being participants at
the Zurich Police Music Festival in September 2010.

The N.S.W. Fire Brigades Precision Drill Team recently competed in the 2010 State and National Championships.
At the State championships, they placed 1st in all five disciplines - Set Drill, Precision Drill, Exhibition March, Artistic Freestyle and Prop Precision.
At the National Championships held in Queensland, they placed 1st in three of the five disciplines - Exhibition March, Artistic Freestyle
and Prop Precision, and 2nd in the Set Drill and Precision Drill.
Congratulations to our Champion Precision Drill Marching Team on their outstanding success in 2010.
